Associate Professor
Summary

Dr. Shah received his PhD (2015-2018) from Chongqing University under the supervision of Prof. Wei Zidong with Outstanding Student Award (2018). He was China Postdoc Fellow in Sun-Yat-Sen University (2018-2019) and he has been Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry in Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Further, he has also won the CAS-President Postdoc Fellow (PIFI) at the Department of Chemistry, USTC, China, with Prof. Dr. Hailong Jiang. He has authored and co-authored of more than 140 articles published and 10 book chapters in peer reviewed journals including Advanced Energy Materials, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Materials Today, Chemical Engineering Journal, Energy Storage Materials, Angwandte Chemie, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Chinese Journal of Catalysis etc. and participated in several international congresses. His h-index is 45 with 6000 citations and i10-index is 110, (Google Scholar). Further the 90.0% articles are in the top 25% most cited documents worldwide, 82.9% are published in the top 25% journals (Scopus). Field-Weighted Citation Impact is 3.6, meaning they are being cited 3.6 times more than world average of the same age and discipline (Scopus). Ranked among top 2% scientist in the world by Stanford-Elsevier ranking published in 2022 and 2023. He is also member of the editorial board or active reviewer of more than 60 international scientific (Elsevier, ACS, RSC, Wiley, Springer etc.) journals. Research interests: His scientific interests are focused in the fields of: i) Synthesis of Porous Materials [Metal-organic Frameworks (MOFs), Covalent-organic Frameworks (COFs), Hydrogen-organic Frameworks (HOFs) and their derivations such as Metal-coordinated N-doped carbons (Single-atom Active-sites)] ii) Design and Synthesis of Carbon-based Nanostructure Materials [Multidimensional Hollow structures, Core-shell structures, Nano-engineering 0D, 1D, 2D, 3D structures], iii) Energy Conversion and Storage Devices [Small molecule activation reactions (ORR, OER, HER, NRR, CO2RR, etc.), Fuel cells, Metal-air/ion Batteries, Supercapacitors, Electrolyzers], iv) Environmental/Water Purification.
