Muhammad Nauman

Assistant Professor
Summary

Muhammad Nauman did his Ph.D. from Kyungpook National University South Korea and his postdoctorate from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA). He is a visiting scientist at the MagLab at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) USA. Dr. Nauman's field of interest is magnetism in general. Specifically, he studies materials that have long-range ordering (antiferromagnetic), no ordering (quantum spin liquids), and hidden ordering (multipole Physics). He uses torque magnetometry, resonant torsion magnetometry, and magnetotransport measurement techniques at very low temperatures (1.5K and 0.3K) and very high magnetic fields (70T and above). He either gets materials in proper shape and size or uses Plasma Focused Ion Beam (PFIB) lithography to cut lamellas of desired dimensions for resonant torsion and transport device fabrication
